Weavers Fields Community Nursery are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to work in our OFSTED rated Outstanding Nursery in Bethnal Green, London E2

37.5 hours per week

Shift work between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm

Salary: £25,408 per annum

Level 3 childcare qualification on QCA framework of qualifications or equivalent, all candidates must have evidence of some professional development.

At least three years’ experience of working with children 0 to 5 year old’s in a group setting. At least 2 years’ experience must be working with 0-2 year olds, including babies.

Weavers Fields Community Nursery is a well-established day care provision opened in January 2007, the nursery is registered for 30 children and operates as a mixed age group nursery. The nursery is based in Bethnal Green within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The nursery is situated adjacent to Weavers Fields Park. There are good transport links, including overground, tube and buses.

The Deputy Nursery Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery, assisting the Nursery Manager with reviewing policies and procedures, curriculum planning, staffing levels and to be responsible for the nursery in the absence of the manager. The Deputy Manager will be required to assist the Nursery Manager in providing a high standard of care and education that meets the requirements of the Children Act and OFSTED inspections.

The Deputy Nursery Manager’s role is permanent, the nursery has strong ethos in supporting and developing staff.
