PERSONAL PROFILE Essential - 3+ years experience with CI Tools like Jenkins as well as installing plugins - 3+ years experience with Source Control tools like Git with knowledge of branching strategies - 3+ years of experience with Linux administration - Team player, enthusiastic and the ability take initiative when required - An appreciation of agile development methodologies and CD principles is required - Sound knowledge of modern scripting languages (e.g. bash, Python or Ruby) - Practical experience with build tools like Ant/Maven - Good knowledge of security best practice and the hardening of systems - Good knowledge of Linux web servers (apache, nginx) - Good at communicating both ideas and concepts and quick to grasp them as well. Desirable - Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent - Experience with Continuous Delivery processes - Experience with BDD principles and software delivery through pipelines - Experience with the Chef provisioning system, both Solo and Server - Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostegreSQL, Redis etc) - Experience with dedicated hardware and software Layer 7 Load Balancers, e.g. F5 BigIP or HAProxy - Experience with advanced Linux networking (including VLANs, iproute2, iptables) - Experience with containers (Docker, CoreOS etc.) - Experience with Juniper network hardware - Experience of building and racking servers and building desktop machines - Practical experience/understanding of agile concepts (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, pair programming) - Understanding of provisioning tools like Chef, Puppet and Ansible - Knowledge with Application servers (e.g. Tomcat, Websphere) - Good understanding of relational database architecture, design and operation - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Such as AWS & GCE) - Able to research and test out new technologies We offer - Competitive salary and benefits - A great working environment with cutting edge technologies and expert colleagues - Room to grow and develop yourself including training - Some of the most exciting projects on the hybris platform
