DevOps Engineer - Award Winning B2c Brand ! Description My client is looking for an engineer to take this "devops-inspired" role which we think isn't just another step on the devops bandwagon but is the real deal! This is a position embedded within the development teams with exposure to all of our products and needs a particular kind of engineer. We are aware that we need someone to help us and we want to talk to people who get that engineers/developers/toolsmiths need to work as integral part of the teams to succeed. My client are a top-1 site and they want theirinfrastructure to match this in all regards. Automation and Infrastructure as Code is their mantra and they want to build on their Infrastructure as a Service position. In this role you'll be working directly with architects, senior engineers and developers to craft infrastructure & services based on a wide & interesting toolkit of automation tools. I am looking for someone who: Is excited about cloud technology, containerisation, automation and doing a great job Knows at least 1 programming/scripting language and has a thirst to learn more. Can build useful tooling, infrastructure and services and make sure its automated & repeatable. Is comfortable at the Linux command line -and some Windows PowerShell skills would be useful too. Has great troubleshooting and debugging skills and can talk development teams through complex issues. Can work independently and is self-motivated but thrives as part of a team. Believes in contribution back to the community and is happy to talk about the work they're doing You will be a great fit if you: Have experience with AWS products and services in a production environment, Has used and understands Terrafrom, Docker, Chef Understands GoCD or similar tools like Jenkins, Team City. Has familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or other similar monitoring tools. Has any experience with Kubernetes or any container orchestration technology and understands its concepts Must be able to communicate effectively with development teams, architects, support services Always has one eye on Security and is keen to ensure best practice is followed Have a good sense of humour. Are always thinking "What happens if this fails?"
