From Monday 6th November we are looking for an Assistant Cook to join our busy and successful kitchen. The ideal candidate would be flexible, hard working and have apprpriate experience to work in a school kitchen providing up to 400 lunches everyday.

As Assitant Cook, working along side the Cook, you will take on responsibility for producing all aspects of the school menu and supervision of staff in the absence of the Cook. You will also be expected to share responsibility for ordering, budget management, simple stock control, health and safety and cleaning to ensure that the highest standards are met.

This position is Term Time Only for 31 hours per week. Current working hours are 8.00am until 2.30pm everyday but flexibility within this working time is essential. Salary is paid on Kent Range 3 £15,253 - ££16,967 (pro rata)

Information about the school

Castle Hill is a large two form entry Community Primary School with a Unit for Hearing Impaired children. We also have a large and thriving Nursery and currently have responsibility for running the Children's Centre in our grounds. The school is situated in an urban area of East Folkestone, on a deceptively large site. Our children are friendly and lively and deserve the very best we can give them.
