Harvey Nash have been engaged by a highly prestigious York-based organisation to source and secure a Deskside Support Engineer to support a large migration project on a short term contract. The Deskside Support Engineer will be on site with staff helping them through the migration, ensuring tests are completed and reporting/helping to resolve issues. The organisation are embarking on a project to update laptops, phones and other devices for over 500 staff. This is an initial 6 week contract and although primarily based in York, will involve lots of travel to Manchester, Teesside and Scotland. Essential skills and experience - Previous experience working in a Deskside Support position - Proven experience of supporting a multi-site migration - Excellent understanding of Windows 7, Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS - An understanding of telephony and MDM - Must have a full, clean driving licence and have their own transport as there is lots of travel required - Highly beneficial if you are MCDST accredited If you are a proven Deskside Support Engineer who has provided support during a large migration looking for a short new challenge - please don't hesitate to apply!
