IT Infrastructure Lead - Permanent A fantastic opportunity has just become available for an IT Infrastructure Lead in Edinburgh for a well known and reputable financial service client who are looking to hire an infrastructure Lead/Manager to sit within the operations team on a permanent basis in Edinburgh paying between £48,000-55,000 per annum, plus benefits. This role is required to provide assurance and governance over the approach and processes used to provide technical environments by all suppliers. The IT Infrastructure Lead will manage the approach to environment and configuration delivery across suppliers, ensuring end to end environment solution supports bank key requirements from testing, training and implementation through to production. The key responsibilities will be: - Responsible for the development and oversight of a consolidated, cross supplier infrastructure and environment delivery plan. - Manage key dependencies across workstreams including design, build, test and IT service / service readiness - Provide assurance and governance of infrastructure and environment delivery practise across all suppliers. - Report progress, risks and issues to key stakeholders. - Ensure consistent, repeatable processes are in place for environment creation, upgrade and regression across all suppliers. - Manage infrastructure and environment readiness across suppliers to ensure availability to satisfy Project timelines. - Engage with relevant architects and test SMEs to input into key programme test phases on scope and approach - Assurance and governance of infrastructure and environment delivery practise across all suppliers - Assurance and governance of the end to end plan for infrastructure and environment provision in line with Business requirements. - Accountable for providing quality assurance of infrastructure and environment build - Manage the design, build, test and implementation phases of infrastructure delivery. The key skills they are looking for are: - Experience in the financial services industry - Previous experience working on a migration or integration programme - Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure - Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results - Proven track record of working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider team. - Demonstrate an ability to think and reason logically - Strong relationship management skills - Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment If this sounds like a role you would succeed in please do not hesitate to get in touch.
