Project Management Engineer Contract £26p/h + Overtime Paid at £39p/h Bedfordshire Mission & Main Objectives - Co-ordinate delivery of the Master Schedule for Vehicle Projects - Maintain understanding and visibility of the vehicle development status against its performance metrics (QCT KPI's), and communicate to line management and aCVE accordingly - Ensure achievement of critical project deliverables such as Production Release, Q-Base closure, Design Change adoption in line with Production Trial quality targets and communicate to line management and aCVE accordingly - Promote and support all necessary cross functional activities to ensure closure of key concerns raised through production trials, safe launch, test and evaluation, and PSQC activities. - Lead the preparation for Progress Meetings, working proactively and cross functionally with all stakeholders to ensure a good understanding of the development status. - Promote and co-ordinate cost reduction activities to deliver vehicle TdC targets Main Tasks & Responsibilities - Engineering background with broad experience of vehicle development and a clear understanding of whole vehicle development process from concept to mass production. - Independent and proactive with strong communication and influencing skills - Experience of working in a global organisation and with other stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, Product Planning, Quality, Purchasing etc). - Strong attention to detail with clear and precise reporting skills and the ability to present confidently to senior management. - Self-motivation - proactively identifying what needs to be done rather than waiting to be told. - Proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint, familiarity with BOM systems (G2B) and interpretation of vehicle specification (Spec List, Spec Notice). Background and Experience - University degree - Previous Automotive experience in product development or project management - Microsoft Office proficiency Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK upon application.
