Staff Nurse (RGN) - Lytham St Anne's Our clients' Nursing Home can provide accommodation and care for 29 residents, catering for those with advanced Dementia with a variety of medical/nursing needs. They are committed to maintaining excellence in their care by using tried and tested management systems to ensure that the highest quality of care is consistently delivered. Feedback from residents and their representatives, about their care service is encouraged and they endeavour to provide an environment that is open and honest. The position is for 48 hours per week to cover days. (Suitable candidates will need flexibility to cover nights to meet the needs of the business when sickness and annual leave occur) £15.00 per hour What you need: - Registered Nurse with NMC PIN - Good knowledge and focus on person-centred care - Friendly and flexible, team-player attitude - Happy working with elderly residents - Nursing Home experience preferred but not essential - At least 1 years' experience preferred Job Description: - Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary. - Assess all aspects of Clients' care needs, and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required. - Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Client within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan. Client Care Plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently if required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy. - Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company's procedure and NMC guidelines. - Participate in Staff and Client meetings as and when required. - Establish and maintain good communication with Clients, Relatives and with the multidisciplinary team. - Supervise and instruct junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, giving help and guidance where appropriate. - Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required. - Report immediately to the Home Manager, or the Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another. - Understand, and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
