Content Writer Location: Cringleford, near Norwich, Norfolk Salary: Salary: £16,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-4, although some overtime may be required Schofield Publishing was founded in the UK in 1999, and we produce seven business-to-business magazines that are distributed throughout Great Britain, Europe and the rest of the world, both in print and digitally. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Writer to join our vibrant team. The Writer will be responsible for conducting telephone interviews with the senior directors of companies in order to write articles, referred to as company profiles. These articles could be within any of the magazines that we publish. Each publication differs slightly in style and guidance and assistance will be on offered to the successful candidates in order for them to achieve the desired content and tone. The ability to write profiles that are interesting and convey the featured company's message while remaining business-like and avoiding hyperbole and over embellishment is essential. All calls are recorded, so the Writer will be responsible for transcribing the calls in order to retrieve the information needed for the article. The ideal candidate will be expected to complete a minimum of one article per day with another started each day, ideally with a view to achieving two per day - articles can vary in length from 850 to 2000+ words. As our writers work in a very close-knit team, the new member of staff will have to quickly be able to establish themselves within this group and be able to work cohesively as part of this team.
