* Project Engineer (Construction) * £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE) * Permanent Role * Career Progression * Market Leader * 26 Days Holiday Overview: We are urgently looking for London based Project Managers to join a fast growing and exciting Construction Business. Supporting the Project Manager, you will be, you will be charged with helping to lead the construction of allocated projects and implementing quality, safety, engineering, design & logistics. You will be working on minor and major contracts, operating either as a specialist in support of a Construction Partner or as a Main Contractor. This role will suit someone with previous experience in enabling works, infrastructure, basements and substructures, hard and soft landscaping packages and external works. It would also be advantageous if you have experience with RC Frames. Main Responsibilities: - Operate and audit robust QITP, QA and QC procedures - Report, close out, rectify, cost and feedback learning from all non-conformances or failures to achieve specified finishes, tolerances or Employers Requirements. - Delegate/review and audit QA/QC duties in line with auditing requirements for the project - Ensure Induction, Site rules, Pre start interviews and new starter assessments are completed - Report all Health Safety and Environmental incidents, regardless of scale, to promote lessons learned and continuous improvement - Oversee and coordinate product design, submission, approval, manufacture, inspection, delivery, installation and integration into the Project Scope of works - Oversee and coordinate the delivery of the design of structural elements - Implement and control coordinated design ensuring buildability, coordination, and adjacencies / connection details. - Ensure design works and design change are robustly controlled and managed to enable earliest identification and notification in the interests of the project - Ensure all materials comply with specification and Employers' Requirements, are fully approved for incorporation in to the project and are QA/QC managed for the Project - Lead the team to review, secure and deliver as programmed only approved materials for the project - Support the Project Manager in producing, overseeing and monitoring adherence to short term rolling programme for Construction Programme attainment - Lead the delivery of project team daily and weekly briefings to proactively focus design (temporary and permanent), procurement, labour, plant and staff in order to secure programmed dates and milestones - Support input to project Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting to allow weekly review of project performance - Assist the Project Manager with the review of historic, current and costs to complete for project budgeting and weekly cost performance - Report to the PM and QS any issues likely to impact on the project budget and allow input into the monthly Contract Review reporting - Raise variations issues whether they are method, time, technical, etc. related - Specifically Lead the site engineering function acting as line manager for engineering reports - Report and refer major problems and concerns noted above in a timely and honest manner to the Project Manager and Operations / Contracts Manager to ensure proactive action Remuneration & Benefits: Basic Salary £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus - Contributory Pension - Cycle to work scheme - Child care voucher scheme - Onsite gym at head office - Subsidised staff restaurant at head office - Employee assistance programme - Occupational health scheme If this role is of interest to you, please click apply, or to fast track your application, contact Calvin at Westerland Recruitment - *************
