The SLT are long standing and are keen to steer the school into a strong academic position across the Borough of Islington. The school have a designated specialist provision which boasts excellent resources.Your role as a SENCO at this Primary School is to lead the Support Team and become an important figure within the school. You will be monitoring student progress and the hard work that the TA's are producing. You will take this information and liaise directly with SLT, parents and external agencies to ensure that all correct avenues are explored to help SEN student's achievement.The perfect Primary SENCO will be a forward thinking SEN specialist with a SENCO degree or at least two years in a SENCO role within a primary school. You must be able to deal with challenging behaviour and be able to lead a team of hard working TA's and Support Staff.
