Big Data Engineer - Healthcare - London - £80k The global leaders in Healthcare Analytics are seeking a Big Data Engineer to join their thriving Predictive Analytics team. With over 20 petabytes of data to play with, you will have the scope to experiment the latest technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark, to publish 10's of billions of rows of data to your clients' systems. What will you be doing? As a Big Data Engineer, you'll work within a cross-functional team with Engineers and Data Scientists, to build scalable and high-performance code to run on Spark/Hive/Impala/Hadoop. You'll have the ability to implement ETL processes including cohorts building and ETL routines customisation. In addition to this, you'll be comfortable mentoring junior members of the team and drive innovation. What skills/experience should you have? - BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) - Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and Unix/Linux - Proficiency in Scala, Java and SQL, as well as Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS - Experience with Apache Spark 2.0 Who will you be working for?
