An innovative banking firm based in the heart of London are currently seeking a ComplianceManager to join their growing organisation on a contractual basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The Compliance Manager will use their strategic skills to monitor the Compliance activity and adherence within the bank, ensuring all Departments of the bank are compliant with the relevant regulations. Working directly with the Head of Risk and Compliance and ultimately running the Compliance team, they will monitor and analyse the performance of Compliance programmes and identify anomalies/issues or areas for improvement, then implement plans for improvement. They are looking for a professional who has come from a financing or banking background but more specifically someone who has experience with foreign or Indian banks. The Compliance specialist will be responsible for: - Abiding by the FCA's Conduct Rules, Principles of Business and PRA's Fundamental Rules. - Adhering to all systems, controls, Home & Host country Regulatory guidelines. - Maintain compliance with all internal policies and procedures. - In control of the banks Risk and Compliance Department and all the connected jobs associated, including SYSC compliance by the Branch. - Conduct of Regulatory Compliance and mandatory requirements in the UK. - Ensure accumulation of monthly Compliance Tracker by coordinating with all departments within the bank. verification of reported data as per requests of HO by gaining relevant records from the departments wherever required; presenting to the Chief Executive and Head of Compliance in a timely manner. - Ensure to keep up to date with policy changes and follow up with head office when policies are up for renewal. Always ensuring readiness of all the relevant policies in the branch. - To ensure Compliance Monitoring Program are up to date, prepared and verified on an ongoing basis and maintain all relevant records. - To prepare correct MIs for submission to relevant committees and keeping records. - Ensure correct and error-free compilation and submission of all regulatory, statutory, other returns and statements are done in a timely manner. As assigned to the appraisee, to the authorities concerned BOE, FCA, PRA, FSCS, HO etc.) without giving opportunity for any reminders. - Helping to achieve all business targets owned to the branch to ensure stable growth. Authorised officer for using secured channels like OSCA & GABRIEL for electronic regulatory reporting. - Ensure execution of SMCR to meet the regulatory requirements as per the timelines set-maintenance of all the records. - In control of Customer Service- Ensuring upkeep of complaints register and timely redressal of all grievances as per customer complaints handling policy. Ensure submissions of related returns to the regulators/HO are done so in a timely manner. Abiding by TCF guidelines. - Nodal Officer to be present to all the reporting requirements originated from the Overseas Banking Division, I O Wing and Head Office such as data / information required by RBI, M o F - GOI etc. - Appearing to Intensive Remediation Plan (IRP) through rectification of findings by skilled persons (BDO LLP) u/s 166, FCA finding on AML & Sanctions control and SYSC findings by KPMG LLP., according to the timeline given in the document.
