Desktop Support Engineer
£18.70 per hour (LTD / UMBRELLA)
3 month rolling contract

A leading provider of IT services and solutions are currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their expanding team at their prestigious offices in London

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our London based desktop support team. Currently the team consists of 12 engineers spanning across 3 buildings supporting 3400 desktop\laptop users and 600 virtual machines. The team supports the business from 6.30am to 6.30pm, this is achieved by operating 2 shifts, 6.30am - 2.30pm and 10.30am - 6.30pm.

Must be able to work alone and unsupervised, using initiative when necessary

Able to complete moves and changes requests
Able to interact with all levels of seniority within the business
Knowledge of ITIL and experience of working within an ITIL environment
Must be presentable as role involves dealing with Executives
Willing to travel between sites as and when required

Technical Skills Requirement

Strong knowledge of Windows XP & Windows 7
In depth troubleshooting of Office 2003\2010
Blackberry support, BES experience
Active Directory and Exchange administration
Experience of troubleshooting remote connection issues and provide training to the business on how to use the remote technologies
Network troubleshooting, TCP/IP, DNS
Familiar with building, configuring and troubleshooting desktops and laptops
Knowledge of Bloomberg and Reuters client installations is desirable
Basic IPT and IPC knowledge
IPAD and Iphone support
SCCM knowledge
Experience of Goodlink is beneficial
