Head of IT - / Head of IS: large-scale organisation in Northern England This is a unique opportunity to join a large-scale business of c5000 users across numerous sites in Northern England as the Head of IT. This challenging position will suit a highly experienced IT Manager or Head of IT with experience of similar scale and extensive experience of business partnering and driving service delivery and technology transformation. Leading a highly competent team of 20 plus external suppliers you will strive to ensure the delivery of a consistent, exceptional IT service, supporting the business transformation programmes and ensuring the IT Strategy meets the needs of the business. Skills and Experience: - Head of IT or equivalent senior IT position within similar sized organisations - A service Delivery (ITIL) evangelist with a strong ability to implement governance and manage the smooth transition of projects into service. - Extensive experience of driving technology transformation and change adoption for large-scale organisations. - A strong understanding of emerging technologies and a proven capability to design and deliver effective information technology strategy in support of business objectives - Demonstrable experience of managing suppliers and vendors effectively. - Experience of financial planning and management of large budgets - Experience of building relationships and managing senior stakeholders in challenging, evolving environments. - Strong Knowledge of infrastructure, application and digital technologies. - Experience within Utilities, Logistics or similar sector would be highly beneficial, although is not a requirement. York based with occasional (1-2 days p/w) travel across the North (travel paid). Paying up to £75k + Corporate benefits including contributory pension (1.5x your contribution) and substantial industry discounts.
