To deliver a vocational qualification whilst assessing, teaching and ensuring the development of learner’s skills in the Construction trade up to L2

Reporting to:

Centre Manager


To work with learners giving practical instruction and vocational experience in Construction skills.To complete registers accurately on a daily basis.To demonstrate and apply curriculum development, curriculum innovation and delivery strategies.Prepare session plans and schemes of work.Plan, review and deliver practical quality sessions giving comprehensible instructions to learners.To assess learners work and cross reference against standards.Record, assess and file learner’s documentation as required.To establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external individuals and groups.Continually improve the learner’s experience which is determined from learner evaluations.Support and guide learners in achieving health and safety and vocational qualifications.Monitor attendance, punctuality and progress whilst building portfolio’s with learners and record and file learner’s documentation as required.To accurately complete all relevant paperwork in line with LifeSkills Solutions procedures and awarding bodies.Give IAG and sign post were appropriate, whilst looking after learner welfareEnsure learners achieve a Motor vehicle qualification in line with company targets.Have a good understanding of the common inspection framework.Assist in the writing, design and development of programmes / courses, and training manuals.Undertake assessment planning with candidates working towards qualifications and support throughout to enable the successful completion of the award.Assess candidate’s portfolios of evidence and provide appropriate records of assessment activities.Submit regular assessment reports on candidates to the IVWork with the IV within the Centre’s IV policy.Work within the framework of the assessment centre.Maintain effective relationships with support organisations and other key internal and external individuals and groups.To ensure effective communications within and between teams, be involved in and participate in meetings and team briefings.To accurately complete all relevant paperwork in line with LifeSkills Solutions procedures.To uphold Equal Opportunities Policy and all other policies and procedures of LifeSkills Solutions.To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.To undertake necessary in-house training and any training needs identified in appraisal.To undertake any other routine task, as required by senior staff.
