Commissioning Engineer (Fire/Security) London £28,000 - £32,000 + Company Car Commissioning Engineer required by a global cross industry and technology leader, operating in multiple countries. The company have gone through a recent merger to create a larger global force which has seen great results. The role would suit a Commissioning Engineer with previous experience as an Installation Engineer coupled with ability in; Commissioning in fire and/or security related products. Sub-contractor management. You will ideally have a minimum of 5 years within a field environment of installation/commissioning, or service. The Commissioning Engineer role will suit a team orientated individual as they will be working closely with the project management team. The role will involve; working with subcontract teams, site control, processes, document control and commissioning of complete multi-discipline projects. Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities: - Direct supervision of the specialist/subcontractor teams and commissioning of multi discipline systems in line with Contractual/Industry - Plan, implement and progress the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems to meet the requirements of customers within the constraints of contract specification, programme and cost - Monitoring of subcontract works ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are fulfilled including EHS responsibility at site level, ensuring all site teams are conversant with and working within agreed Rams, delivery of bespoke and company tool box talks, site level audits. Promotion of Zero Harm safe working practices. - Responsible for the implementation of procedures for the execution of work, briefing instructions to the Subcontract teams in a timely fashion and ensuring that best practice is exercised - Document control including issue of record drawings and commissioning data - Monitoring and reporting of progress at site level and to the Project Manager/Supervisor - Daily planning of commissioning programmes - Liaison with Client site team - Planning of Client Witness test and verification testing - Collation of all record information, system programmes and data - Delivery of bespoke on-site system training at Client level - Record, monitor and advise the Project Manager/Supervisor of any defects and Client specification - deviations - Co-ordinate large teams of Engineers and Sub-Contractors work whilst on site - Working to BS4737, NACOSS, BS5839, ISO 9000 and additional appropriate standards Commissioning Engineer Requirements: - Experience of Installation engineering - Commissioning skills in fire and/or security related products. - Sub-contractor management experience - Minimum of 5 years within a field environment of installation/commissioning, or service. - QEHS management at a site/construction level. - Variation and change management experience - In depth knowledge of the installation and commissioning of CCTV and / or Access control equipment and systems. - Understanding of H & S regulations, CDM and site safety issues, including IEE regs 16th edition. - Have sufficient PC skills using Microsoft Office software packages, to create and maintain spreadsheets, databases or directories of information on projects - Must have full driving licence.
