Infrastructure Analyst / Architect - Wintel, Cloud, Unix, LAN/WAN, Storage and related Enterprise Application environments. Permanent, Guildford. c.£60k - £70k +Bonus +Benefits Global Insurance Company seeks an Infrastructure Analyst / Architect to play a key role in the delivery of infrastructure enhancements across datacentre technologies including LAN/WAN data networks, SAN storage systems, Wintel server environments (VMWare, Cloud, SCCM), Mainframe, Unix and related virtualized desktop technologies. The Infrastructure Analyst / Architect with will collaborate with Application Architects, Data Architects, and Enterprise Architects to design infrastructure solutions for scalability, reliability, performance, security, and alignment with overall business and IT strategy. You will design of system architectures across all datacentre technologies for the purpose of clustering, load-balancing, replication, and mirroring, storage and network infrastructure improvements. Additional responsibilities will include capacity planning and performance analysis for servers (Wintel, Unix and Mainframe) as well as review and approval of technical design proposals submitted by other Infrastructure Architects. You will then be responsible for the implementation of the technologies you design. We are searching for an Infrastructure Analyst / Architect who has worked in a similar capacity across all core technologies listed above. You will be able to create detailed architectural designs, high & low level, and provide detailed documentation to project teams and infrastructure support teams who will be responsible for delivering service improvements within their specific siloes. You will have worked as an Infrastructure Architect in a European or global organisation ideally within a security and compliance driven environment and possess expertise in server, network and security architectural design activities. You will be comfortable working across all server infrastructure environments and be able to take a global view on architectural improvements.
