An Ofsted rated 'Good' CofE Primary School in the London borough of Islington is looking for an PPA and intervention teacher to initially work the autumn term, although there is a strong possibility of the role extending and continuing for the entire academic year.The primary school are looking for a strong teacher who is comfortable and able to cover from reception class through to year 6. The teacher will also be required to plan certain intervention sessions for small groups of children who need extra support in maths and English.The school boast a positive and uplifting atmosphere around the school and they would like a teacher who will show great enthusiasm and can be self motivated but is also flexible enough to work as part of a team alongside class teachers. This is a great opportunity to join an experienced and established team. The primary school is looking for a candidate with a vast teaching experience, who has a strong work-ethic and can-do' attitude. On top of this, the school is seeking a teacher who is organised and has experience preparing supporting students in the transition from KS1 to KS2 and helping them with their academic progression. You will be also willing to commit to the role, have passion for delivering engaging and focused lesson plans alongside prior experience with SATs preparation. On top of this, the successful applicant MUST have: - A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.) - A minimum of 2 years UK teaching experience. - Knowledge of KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work. - A valid DBS registered with the update service or willing to undertake one. - Eligible to work in the UK. - Excellent teaching references - Exceptional behaviour management skills.The school is a stones throw away from the Northern line and is also serviced by numerous bus routes.
