Job Title:Finance Assistant Location:The Olive House, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL6 2XA Salary:£16,000 - £20,000 Dependant on experience The Company An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the company for an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our Treasury Division, reporting directly to the Group Accountant. Based at our Head Office in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, this role comprises of administration of accounts, liaising internally and externally regarding invoice queries and supporting the treasury team through month-end cut off routines. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - To carry out the administration of customer and supplier accounts both internally & externally - Debt collection - Accountable for review of planned despatches to authorise for release - Raise and review sales invoices - Raise manual invoices & credit notes - Process the daily banking requirements - Process purchase invoices from receipt through to filing - Process expenses - To deal efficiently with any telephone queries regarding sales & purchase accounts - To liaise both internally and externally in relation to account queries - Any other duties as directed by Group Accountant or Group Finance Director - On-line invoice submission - Month end cut-off routines - To ensure the day to day functions of the Treasury office are carried out efficiently & accurately - Support Reception duties involving call re direction and absence cover. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Knowledge and experience of working with Financial systems - High level of numeracy and keyboard skills. - Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook proficient. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to manage work load effectively, prioritising and organisational skills - Pleasant and confident telephone manner. - Awareness of the financial best interests of the company We are true oil specialists.
