Senior Programmer- VR Studio - Liverpool

A VR Studio based in Liverpool are looking to hire a Senior Programmer to work on their new Virtual Reality Social Platform, which brings together people from around the world, where they can interact, share content and go to a range of breath-taking environments. The studio were formed by a range of veterans from the games industry, who have come from a long standing AAA console development background.

The VR platform prides itself on its sound quality, where users talk to each other in different settings and backgrounds. You will be performing tasks such as implementing sounds in-game and making sure they coincide with the realistic feel of the platform. You will also have experience of being aware of distant / close sounds and be responsible for writing and maintaining Audio Libraries.

This position will allow you to work closely with the Technical Director and completely own the Audio side to the platform, which is already attracting the attention of major tech and commercial companies. You will also get involved with the general development of the platform such as dealing with gameplay, UI or wherever your skills suit.

Whether your experience has come from Games, VR, Entertainment or IT Industries - as long as you have implemented / or have an interest in audio programming and have a passion for VR industry, then we will be interested in hearing from you.

Requirements

*At least 2 years' experience with Audio Technologies
*Strong C++ and C# skills
*Experience with low level audio / DSP Code
*An eye (and ear) for detail
*Experience with Unity Engine would be desirable
*Past experience with Video games or VR Audio would be a bonus
