Linden Lodge School is a day and weekly residential special school for visually impaired children and young adults (2 - 19 yrs) many of whom are multi disabled with complex needs. At our recent Ofsted (February 2017), our school was judged to be a good school with an outstanding Early Years provision.

“Pupils behaviour is excellent. They are polite and friendly to each other and to adults, and have very good attitudes towards learning” (Ofsted February 2017).

“The provision for pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is excellent”. (Ofsted February 2017)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching assistant to support the learning and development of our pupils who have visual impairment together with physical and communication difficulties.

This role involves support in the classroom and includes physical work and personal care of pupils including for some medical interventions. You do not need to have previous experience as full training will be provided from our on-site Nursing team.

We are a happy continually developing special school for pupils 2-19years. We need staff with a caring responsible attitude, high expectations and the ability to work in a team.

• English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent
• High expectations
• A positive and caring approach with previous experience of supporting children
