Behavioural/BESD Teaching Assistant - Sheffield - Temporary, full time - October start

This is a children's residential setting in Sheffield, which offers education as well as care to those who live there.
Your new role
You will be working with students across Key Stages 2 - 4, who all have Behavioural, Emotional and Social difficulties. You will be working in classes of no more than 8 students at anyone time, or on a 1:1 basis. You will need to be empathetic and supportive, yet be strong willed and resilient.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to have experience of working within a Pupil Referral Unit or Secure Unit, and ideally be MAPA trained. Due to the setting, you must have strong behaviour management skills and not be easily phased. You need to have a minimum of 40 days experience working with students aged from 10 years old, although this doesn't need to be within a school setting.

You will also have support from a dedicated Hays consultant who you can contact from 07:00 - 22:00, seven days a week.
