Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Hungerford, and they are looking for a Product Manager to join its team on a contract basis. Job Title: Product Manager Contract Length: 6 months Rate: negotiable Location: Hungerford This is a great opportunity to join a great company that values its staff and to work with exciting and interesting technologies. This position will provide strategic product management leadership for all markets. The role will entail gathering information from customers, market research and/or other sources to create product plans, sales and marketing guidelines for all customer segments. Main duties & responsibilities: - Defining and leading appropriate market segmentation and develop strategies for all product segments. - Execute market research, business case analysis, and planning to justify and formulate the product road map. - Manage product lifecycle from concept and launch through end of life. - Ensuring customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers as required and ensuring the "needs of the customer" are reflected in work processes. - Provide accurate and timely communications through all levels of management regarding market conditions, opportunities, customer requirements, and competitive information. - Conduct effective presentations to customers, internal staff, etc. as needed. - Identify opportunities for expansion into other adjacent categories. - Analyse and control expenditures related to product development activities to conform to budgetary requirements. - Manage the development of collateral materials, manuals, technical publications, and other marketing communications as needed. - Support other commercial activities as required or assigned by management. - Ensure profitable growth and performance of the product lines in all markets. Requirements Education and Work Experience: - Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering and preferably MBA or equivalent experience - Minimum 3 years' experience in product management roles, with a track record of taking products from strategy through launch - Fluency in other languages is highly desirable - Experience in the power tool or sealants and adhesives industry is an advantage Technical/Functional Competencies: - Superior analytical skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working across and at all organisational levels in diverse cultural and geographic environments - Ability to manage projects and budgets through excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills - Good level of technical awareness - Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications - Willingness and ability to travel internationally Leadership/Cultural Competencies: - Strong orientation toward achievement.
