Job title: Head of Group Compliance Location: Bath Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 plus benefits Sector: FS / Banking Job type: Permanent Job reference: MC/19329 The Role: The newly created role of Group Head of Compliance has arisen due to the significant growth of the groups business and the increasing demands of, and obligations to, the FCA. This exciting new role will form a key part of the senior management and will hold the appropriate influence over Group UK policy. The successful candidate will be a senior consumer credit compliance professional and have strong experience in consumer lending (mortgages, leasing or vehicle finance). The role of Group Head of Compliance will suit a passionate and driven professional who will be continuously motivated to deliver a robust regulatory framework. Further responsibilities include. - Manage a small skilled UK team to develop and deliver a comprehensive risk and compliance regime. - Oversee the implementation of effective regulatory and operational risk controls. - Research and review all relevant existing and emerging regulatory rules and principles. - Provide a professional advisory service to all business areas and stakeholders. - Share monthly compliance reports and MI for the operations and PLC board. - Hold CF10/CF11 function across the regulated subsidiaries. - Champion a positive compliance culture and promote the development of governance and training. - Attendance and contribution at trade associations / seminars and forums. - Mentoring and guidance for compliance colleagues. The Company: We are working exclusively with an award-winning PLC group offering business finance solutions to the UK market including commercial loans, asset finance, hire purchase, invoice financing and factoring. The Benefits: £60,000 - £80,000 plus good benefits The Person: - Significant experience in an FCA-regulated business and at a senior level. - Relevant professional qualification (IRM, ICA etc). - In depth knowledge of FCA rules and handbooks (COBC, DISP, SYSC, MCOB) with a track record of implementation. - Knowledge of consumer credit market including mortgages and vehicle finance. - Knowledge of financial promotions approval. - Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to decipher and present complex data. - Proven influencer to Board and senior managers. - Ability to make strong and constructive decisions that balance commercial, customer and regulatory viewpoints. - Experience of working within a Group structure would be beneficial. - Expect UK travel. - Flexible working might be available for the right individual.
