Committed and passionate about leading edge technology and committed to micro-services architecture, using automated software development and DevOps culture The Candidate The ideal candidate will come from a C# .net background with experience of micro-services with automated software development, test automation and continuous integration and deployment experience, CI/CD and with experience of JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or NodeJS, with good design principles, issues of scale & security, with a wide range of COTS and OSS tools and products. You will be designing and creating components, applications and algorithms and also building integrations with services and APIs from other teams. You will partner closely with the Product owner to develop new business capabilities which adhere to standards, are fault tolerant, scalable, robust and easy to support. Plus you will support your team members and mentor more junior team members. Key Skills - Proven experience of leading a cross-functional team in an agile environment practicing XP methodology with strong exposure to Scrum or Lean, DevOps & CALMS cultures, requirement elicitation workshops and the end-to-end lifecycle - Full Stack Developer background (from UI to backend to deployment) with a proven track record of developing loosely coupled solutions (SOLID Principles, TDD + Pair Programming, BDD) that are secure, scalable, fault tolerant, robust and reliable. - Expert in developing ASP.Net/c# ******** core an advantage) applications, windows services and RESTful WebApis - Experience with software performance optimization and knowledgeable of .Net concurrent programming - Solid experience service oriented architectures, developing high transactional services at scale. - Experience of software testing processes including the creation and execution of automated test scripts and the successful delivery of UAT - Experienced with Domain Modelling, DDD, CQRS, Event Storming, Event Driven Architectures and message Queues (such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) - At ease with troubleshooting in complex environments through experience using monitoring and logging tools (such as AppDynamics, NewRelic, Splunk, Nagios, Zabbix) - Demonstrable skills in maintaining and improving CI/CD processes, using build tools, artefact repositories PowerShell scripting, IIS configurations and canary/blue-green deployments The Role Our client is looking to build our next generation events platform, through a micro-service architecture to support needs of large exhibition shows. The platform is a green field project which we are incrementally building and learning how to scale appropriately. The micro-service architecture helps maintain a loosely coupled platform and the similar principles are being developed to maintain flexibility and autonomy when integrating with enterprise systems. Service APIs are exposed through an API Gateway kept simple with GraphQL. This is an opportunity to use some of the latest technologies and your expertise to accelerate our growth in this space.
