Role: Management Accountant Manager

Location: Bristol, South West - commutable from Bath, Swindon, Devizes, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Emersons Green, Keynsham, Brislington, Longwell Green

Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 per annum plus excellent benefits including bonus

Ambridge Harris is looking to recruit a Management Accountant Manager on behalf of our client based in East Bristol. Responsible for

  • Owning specific entities P&Ls and producing their monthly management accounts to a high level of accuracy
  • Working with the team to deliver a comprehensively reconciled balance sheet pack each month, including ownership of one of the more complex or material areas of reconciliation
  • Providing clear and actionable P&L explanation and commentary to the business support managers each month
  • Dealing with the more complex queries regarding results
  • Line management of a small team, reviewing their work as well as providing line management support and guidance
  • Working with the team to ensure current processes are efficient and fit for purpose, and to help identify areas for efficiency gains to support the next phase of growth
  • Regular interaction with the business partners to answer queries and assist them with process adherence

Skills/experience required

  • Strong academically - educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification/experience)
  • Completed a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or similar) or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Experienced in management accounting roles
  • Must have sufficient commercial experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment - flexibility is key
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced excel, and confident on various management reporting systems
  • Strong attention to detail, and able to deliver right-first-time results quickly
  • Deadline focussed, and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they always meet them
  • Understanding of small companies and how they work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the team, and communicate effectively
