Baltic Training are excited to be working with Niche Food Systems to recruit for a Software Developer Apprentice to join their team based in Blackburn.
Niche Food Systems are the leading food industry software solution provider. Their aim is to supply the solution you need. Some of the software solutions Niche Food Systems provide include stock control, recipe formulation and data capture.
They are now looking for a mature and outgoing individual to join their small team.

You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:
- Supporting senior staff.
- Software Testing.
- Working on various aspects of development.
- Troubleshooting issues.
Training to be provided:
- Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development
- Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
- Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Systems and Principles
- Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT)
Skills and qualifications required:
- An understanding of SQL and C#.
- Knowledge of software testing.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Good administration skills.
The future is bright
Upon completion of the 12 month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.
Salary, hours and benefits
- £150 per week.
- Full time (37.5 hours per week).
Location and travel
Their modern office is located in the Guide area of Blackburn. This is just off the M65. There are also local bus services that run nearby.
