The Company:

An excellent opportunity for a Junior Marketing and Product Coordinator to join a leading giftware company who are going through rapid growth. The company supply leading retailers, online and independent stores. This is an exciting hybrid role for an ambitious individual that has gained at least 6 - 12 month industry experience in online marketing and copywriting. The daily duties of the role will offer variety between online marketing, copy writing and product development. The role requires the potential and acumen to be able to develop products and identify trends but training for this will be given on the job.

The Role:

  • Under the direction of the Managing Director, but working across the sales and product development teams, the Junior Marketing and Product Co-ordinator.
  • Supporting both marketing strategy and execution, with a focus on copywriting, web site management and content delivery.
  • Writing copy for products and marketing campaigns, both online on social media and te website and offline (trade magazines).
  • Take a lead in creating, editing and designing marketing literature both online through mail shots, social media and offline.
  • Once a product is developed you will be required to liaise with the Photographer, upload the product onto the website, inform the sales team of the new additions and ensure that the correct sample is in the showroom and ready for trade shows.
  • There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to influence and contribute in the development of new ranges and products and will be asked at times for your thoughts and opinions on the development of products.
  • Developing new concepts, market research, sample mock ups and comp shopping.
  • Manage all social media channels (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter)
  • Upload images, copy and key words to the website.
  • Plan and prepare for the company’s trade shows, ensuring product is displayed to reach its full potential.
  • Any other duties as requested.
Skills Required:

  • 6-12 months copywriting experience/website management/online marketing (open to industry) in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent writing style and ability to adapt to different tones.
  • Knowledge of writing for digital platforms (optimising SEO), in particular websites and e-communications.
  • Proficiency with key social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Have a passion for product and an eye for high street trends.
  • A sense of humour and an outgoing personality.
