Duties/ Responsibilities This position is responsible for: - Effective provisioning, installation and configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and software and related infrastructure necessary to support web application development - Ensuring that virtual system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and policies - Assisting the web application development teams by providing technical support in the initiation, planning, deployment and maintenance phases - Participating on projects, is focused on smoothing the transition of products from development through deployment by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle - This individual will be integral and accountable for cloud provisioning (Amazon Web Services). Training will be provided Desired Qualities - The position would suit a sociable and charismatic individual who is professional, well organised, and exhibits a keen eye for detail - Good written and verbal communications skills to understand commercial Service Level Agreements from both an engineering and business perspective - Good organizational and time management skills, be disciplined and self-motivated yet be able to work within a diverse team of professionals to achieve shared goals Desired Qualifications: 6 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C including Maths plus GCSE English (or equivalent) at grade D or above Other Information Working week - 37 hours per week Benefits - Retention - Progression - Salary Increase Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce."
