Due to a sustained period of successful growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Broker Manager with one of the country’s fastest growing specialist finance brokers based in Cardiff Bay.

The Company:

The company is a financial brokerage for specialist products that include second mortgages, bridging and commercial loans. It has a full market panel of national lenders and is fully approved and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

After breaking into the market only two years ago, the company has built an excellent reputation grounded in going that extra mile for its customers. Now they are gearing up for another period of strong growth so are looking for an experienced Broker Manager that shares their dedication to customer service and their ambition for success.

The Role:

The Broker Manager will be sourcing and processing residential and buy-to-let second mortgages for new and existing applicants. It will be your responsibility to:

  • Assist customers in finding the best possible loan solution for their personal needs.
  • Discuss potential lending cases with our intermediary brokers.
  • Follow up with customers who have made a website enquiry.
  • Source the most appropriate lending solution for the customer.
  • Build a good rapport with customers and brokers alike.
  • Complete financial fact finding - income and expenditure.
  • Liaise with brokers, applicants, surveyors and solicitors.
  • Go that extra mile to help the team meet and surpass our set targets.
What skills and experience do you need?

You will need to be a team player who is able to work well under pressure and has strong attention to detail. It’s important that you are patient, friendly and approachable. The requirements for this role are:

  • Experience in a similar role approx. 12 months.
  • CeMap qualified or part-qualified. Not essential if willing to study.
  • 3 GCSE’s grade C or above.
  • Good at problem solving, organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communicator and computer literate.
  • Flexible in terms of core business hours.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with ½ hour lunch - some weekend work may be required.
