Your new role
An exciting time to be joining this team as they are about to embark on a journey to create a new Guidewire Centre of Excellence function. You will have the opportunity to work with external partners throughout the project to build your Guidewire development skills.

The role will require you to review, analyse and evaluate IT system requirements in collaboration with IT business analysts, IT solution designers and business stakeholders. You will configure, develop, unit test, integrate and lead complex code changes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to build technical solutions to agreed estimates, time and quality requirements. You will also document and direct the handover of software into business-as-usual (BAU) operation.

As well as this you will evaluate and interpret end-to-end technical system designs and recommend changes to infrastructure, applications and products. You will research, understand and apply new technical tools, processes and technical developments to promote continuous improvement. Finally you will deliver short term projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with the line manager.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong experience of IT software development and methodologies and be experienced with using Java. You will need to have the ability to lead technical discussions on how best to model a solution, as well as having knowledge on best practices and how to use past experiences to articulate reasons for adopting design decisions. Object orientated programming would be beneficial.
