As Technical Support Specialist you will provide first-line sales support for customer queries as well as offer exceptional customer service by telephone and email. In addition, you will support the sales teams as required to maximise sales. Core responsibilities as Technical Support Specialist: Protein Analysis - Oxfordshire: - Answer technical enquiries and troubleshoot on the company's Protein Analysis Instrumentation - Provide on-going support for customers via phone and email - Engage with customers for troubleshooting and demonstration purposes - Liaise with other corporate sites for support or quality control data - Carry out product change notification to affected customers - Provide product technical training for new employees - Act as a key contributor of customer feedback to marketing and product development teams - Assist in creation and review of technical literature e.g. manuals and application notes - Updating and continually expanding CRM system with accurate information - Advising customers on suitable company products using effective questioning techniques to identify specific customer needs COMPANY This Global life science company provides innovative tools and bioactive reagents for the research and clinical diagnostic communities. REQUIREMENTS In order to apply you should meet all or most of the following criteria: - Ideally, Ph.D. qualified in a Life Science subject - Previous hands-on experience with immunoassays and protein characterization assays - Performing Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunoassays, FACS, iCE, highly desirable - Experience of telesales and / or working in a customer service environment speaking to customers over the telephone would be a distinct advantage - Commercially savvy, with excellent organisational aptitude and time management skills - A self-starter, with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude - Excellent attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, being able to communicate at all levels effectively - Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks, multi-task efficiently and work under pressure REMUNERATION Package includes: - Basic salary of £30-35,000 basic, depending on experience - Benefits include: pension, private healthcare, and dental, life assurance, 25 days holiday - Personal development plan with regular product and skills training - Genuine opportunity for career development
