SEMH Teaching Assistants/ Learning Support Assistants Required- Wigan Milk Education are currently recruiting for an SEN Primary School in Wigan for a number of Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work on an ad hoc basis in a number of day to day, short-term and long-term roles. The ideal candidates MUST have previous SEMH experience and boasts a nurturing and resilient classroom manner. Experience of working with children with SEMH, ADHD, ADD and ASC is required and you must be open to working with pupils with a variety of learning needs particularly behaviour. The School is looking for robust candidates who will provide outstanding learning and care to all pupils. This is also a great opportunity for a budding graduate who is looking to develop their career in the education sector and potentially complete a teaching qualification in the near future. The school offers a range of support including CPD & ongoing training including a great staff team where you are able to observe outstanding teaching and learning The successful candidate will: - Have previous experience of working with pupils with behaviour difficulties - Possess the ability to develop professional working relationships with pupils and staff. - Have a positive impact on learning and behaviour. - Implement effective classroom management in line with the school's behaviour management policy. - Offer support to staff and children. - Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident. - Have previous experience of working in a SEN School - Two suitable references covering the last 2 years. - Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
