A Global Financial Services organisation currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced C# Developer to join their established but growing Strategic Transactions Division. Role Purpose The role is for a maintenance developer with good technical/analytical skills and experience in developing applications in Microsoft Technologies. The role requires experience in all stages of SDLC and the ideal candidate should have good experience in C#/.Net, both server side and GUI. The candidate should have good understanding and experience with SQL Server. Key Accountabilities - Develop, test and maintain applications built on Microsoft platform - Use technical/analytical expertise and knowledge of systems to locate and resolve problems - Diagnosis of problems including investigating process failures, analysis of log files and general forensic analysis of system problems - Working in a team responsible for the configuration, customization, design and development of the chosen IT solution - Working closely with business including requirements gathering, analysis and assisting user acceptance testing on new implementations, upgrades, software releases, configuration changes - Working with other IT teams to develop interfaces to Trading, Operations and Finance applications - To develop, test and implement small pieces of work related to system stability issues to improve the overall stability of systems - Responsible to deliver projects both as an individual or as by taking the lead as a part of a team. Essential Skills - Experience in C# development - Experience in GUI and server side development in C# - WPF experience desirable - Experience in SQL Server including developing Stored Procedures/Triggers and query optimisations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills - Proactive Desirable Skills - Exposure to SunGard Adaptiv and customisations around the product. **Should the above be of interest, please apply immediately to receive a more detailed job specification**
