Are you a specialist Applications Support Engineer with a passion for RedHat or CentOS technology and multimedia? Our client provide an innovative video advertising solution to a prestigious customer base that includes many of the leading UK and European broadcasters. The tech support / application support analyst must have excellent communication skills and experience helping clients understand technology, the role help bring new clients on board and troubleshoot any problems that might arise on the applications side. Responsibilities for the Linux Applications Support Analyst: - Quickly understand this AWS cloud based product including the process for rolling out to new customers - Troubleshooting live production issues using standard Linux tools and scripting (bash, perl, python - ideal) - Support hardware/software migration activities - Customer site installation and support (some travel across Europe required) Key Skills required for the Linux Applications Support Analyst: - A desire to be a Product specialist, to learn an innovative and unique video advertising solution - Competence in IP, HTTP, and DNS - Experience with working systems with high availability - Experience supporting large scale web applications - An enthusiasm for investigating new technologies - Excellent communication skills either by email or verbally - Experience in working in a small team and being self-sufficient - A desire to achieve high standards and be the best in what you do A bonus if you are RedHat Certified In return you'll be joining a highly respected team who really value core engineering skills and offer full training into the video streaming side.
