Senior Platform Manager (Upkeep) A market leading FTSE 100 Defence organisation is currently recruiting for a Senior Platform Manager (Upkeep) to take on a permanent position ASAP. The company is highly regarded for its employee recognition and vital position in today's market place. The main purpose of the role is to provide oversight management of upkeep projects on behalf of the customer where you will be providing independent monitoring, reporting and verification of a project's quality and deliverables. The main responsibilities of the role are as follows: - Contribute to the effective management of project delivery. - Act as focal point for all Deep Maintenance / Support Period maintenance related technical issues. - Manage Support Period oversight activities inc. financial and quality within delegated authority. - To undertake stakeholder management and liaison - To manage change to contract scope and associated financial aspects - To seek Technical support from Engineering functional lead where required - Ensure that any proposed changes that impact on safety or statutory certification are referred to the Duty Holder or his nominated authority for review and approval. - Raising change through detailed scope, detailing work to a level that meets service provider requirements, detailing specifications/ standards and acceptance activities accordingly - Make decisions within delegated financial authority to enable Support Period work to proceed, noting that standards of quality or expenditure will be involved in accordance with Scheme of Delegation - To establish a realistic Growth Baseline based on (known) material state of the ship and in full knowledge of risks and uncertainties - To conduct Cost Risk Analysis - To conduct risk mitigation - To conduct acceptance activities - sign off documentation as required by local / contract documentation as required - Manage the platform configuration, engineering standards, and assessment of ship systems for acceptability. The successful candidate will display the following skills, experience and qualifications: - The post holder will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering based discipline OR HND/HNC, qualified in an Engineering/Technical subject. - Project Management experience and training including risk management. - A good understanding of Project and Contract Management. - A good understanding of Upkeep and Fleet Time Support Period planning and delivery processes. - Broad understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM). - Broad knowledge of equipment and systems to enable recognition of risks to vessel availability.
