Head of Marketing sought by highly successful Group of companies operating within the fmcg sector and supplying major retailers and food service sector businesses with an impressive range of innovative, healthy products. As Head of Marketing you will hold ultimate responsibility for the Company's marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business. Key responsibilities will include: - Development and implementation of the brand strategy. - Developing the marketing strategy for new and existing products - Overseeing implementation of the marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR. - Co-ordinating the consumer and market insight requirements for all product categories that the business operates within; communicating and presenting this data in a format that supports sales growth. - To be closely aligned with the NPD manager and team to deliver innovative products that fulfil consumer needs, which are based on current market trends. - To be working closely with the commercial team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations. - Recruitment and selection of new members of the marketing team, ensuring staffing levels are maintained in order to complete all aspects of the company's marketing strategy. - Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team. - Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team. - Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition. - Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organisation. - Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends - Carrying out competitor analysis to ensure the company's marketing strategy is competing effectively. - Reporting on all marketing activities to the Board Directors. - Working closely with other heads of departments on company projects. - Completing various marketing projects at the request of Board Directors. - Making sure that brand guidelines are adhered to in all marketing activities across the company. You should be Degree (or equivalent) Qualified and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Confident, driven and a dynamic leader, you have an entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to spot original branding opportunities. Previous experience and proven track record of success in a similar position is essential, preferably from a company operating within the fmcg/food sector. The Head of Marketing must have an up to date knowledge of marketing best practice and an eye for creative marketing opportunities, together with a strong understanding of effective PR and Marketing Communications. A thorough knowledge of web analytics is required together with a full appreciation of the benefits of effective social media utilisation.
