A software development, consulting and support & maintenance company. They deliver software services to various sectors including Engineering, Education, and Pharmaceutical industries. Established in 2006, they have been successfully delivering Content Management Solutions using Microsoft and open source technologies Directed by an experienced Content Management Specialist the company is well experienced and equipped with proven track record to provide successful ECM Solutions including integration with be-spoke applications. They also specialize in Social Content, Media Assets and Records Management and most of all the best practices of delivering Content Management Solutions. They also deliver Software services to Education sectors and retail industry management solutions such as ILE and TanTrack. Key Responsibilities: As an IT support & Software testing apprentice you will be assisting on many duties and projects. This will be a hands on role and at times a fast paced environment. The apprentice will be expected to do the following initially with the help from the team: - Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; - Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; - Talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues; - Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults; - Replacing parts as required; - Fixing software bugs - Supporting the roll-out of new applications; - evaluating the software and systems that make computers and hardware work; - Developing existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification; - Integrating existing software products and getting incompatible platforms to work together; - Creating technical specifications and test plans; - Writing and testing code and then refining and rewriting as necessary; - Testing and evaluating new technology; - Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment. - Analysing user requirements; Required Skills: - Passion for IT & Software - Good Vocabulary - Excellent Writing Skills - Ability to manage timings and tasks effectively - Ability to learn new challenging jobs - Demonstrate Professionalism - Ability to work in team and individually - Logical thinker - Good analytical and problem solving skills - Good interpersonal and customer care skills Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce."
