A superb opportunity for a Category Manager with Marketing category experience; to guide and support the marketing strategies of this major name global Financial Services Organisation. As Category Manager for Marketing you will take end to end responsibility for your own specific areas of spend; there are opportunities to get involved in global projects across EMEA, Asia and Latin America. You will need to be skilled at creating business relationships, maintaining those relationships and assisting in the development of strategic plans that deliver value to the business. As an ideal candidate you will have experience in developing concepts and visions and selling that to the business; possess strong communication skills and show strong evidence of building great business partnerships. The Successful Candidate will: - Maximize the organization's purchasing power across Marketing Categories (marketing promotions, advertising, gift cards, rewards merchandising digital etc.) to drive value and mitigate risk - Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions; develop business case and sell-in of new ideas and opportunities, obtain stakeholder buy-in - Manage and track savings plans to an annual goal - Lead strategic analysis and spend visibility. Gather category/market intelligence; understand industry trends and anticipate impacts and opportunities for business - Develop strategic relationship with the organization and business customers and suppliers to develop appropriate technology category management solutions appropriate for their current and future needs - Work across multiple geographic locations and cultures in order to deliver initiatives across multiple markets and/or participate in global projects within multi regional teams Qualifications and Experience: - Demonstrable, direct experience in Marketing procurement and category management - A good track record in effectively negotiating pricing, legal, business terms and conditions with vendors on a global basis - Must possess knowledge of contractual terms and requirements with regard to the acquisition of technology services, while demonstrating the ability to evaluate legal and business risks/ramifications of proposed contractual terms, and be able to differentiate applicability and effectiveness to global company locations - Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and other business customers that support technology development across the organization - Proven expertise in driving innovative contractual terms and conditions to be able to implement leading edge technology concepts to support relevant projects and objectives - Demonstrable thought leadership on how to bring together multiple business lines, technology requirements, processes and due-diligence to support the current technology trends
