Title: Category Specialist Day Rate: £500 Location: Home based - 50% travel to London, Harrogate, Coventry and Durham Contract Length: 7 months Vacancy Overview Our public sector client are looking for a Category Specialist to assess the existing commercial landscape and looking at the impact on programme delivery. Please note this position will be IN SCOPE of IR35. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Designing and implementing approaches which ensure effective delivery of the right outcome for the department. - Leading on supplier integration with regards to relationship and cost impact upon the department. - Clarifying the ability to terminate current contracts, working with programme finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any potential benefits. - The ability to renegotiate existing contracts. - Managing the impact of existing commercial financial models. - Acting as primary point of contact between the incumbent suppliers and the department. - Provide professional Procurement advice to support a number of strategic College project - Improve procurement engagement with the wider business - Documentation of key policies/processes across Procurement process Candidate Overview - CTC - Counter Terrorism Check - MCIPS or equivalent - Experience of procurement support in a project environment. - Experience of detailing and changing procurement processes Please note that the deadline for applications is 06/10/17 Any applications received after this date may not be considered.
