In terms of personality, the school places strong importance on pupil engagement and an outgoing, positive manner with a strong focus on learning through play. It is therefore critical that you display these attributes from the outset and are able to empower your support staff with a similar positive mind-set.

Key criteria for applicants:

• Qualified Teacher Status - You will not be considered without this unless you have substantial teaching experience in a similar setting
• Full time availability
• Knowledge of Early Years, KS1/2 curriculum as pupils will be working at varying levels of ability
• Previous experience working with Autism and SLD with a strong understanding of the social, emotional and cognitive difficulties these pupils face
• Ability to lead a team of 2/3 TAs effectively
• Strong knowledge of the surrounding administrative aspects of the role and excellent ability to plan and prepare lessons of high quality
• Bubbly and positive personality with a strong commitment and desire to assist these pupils
