Job Overview: On behalf of our client, a successful Injection Moulding Manufacturer, we are looking to recruit two experienced Project Engineers for contract positions. The role of the Project Engineer will be to investigate, understand and solve design related problems as well as act as a key interface between R&D and Manufacturing. The role of Project Engineer requires good project management skills with the ability to manage time and knowledge and experience of design/manufacture for high volume manufacturing techniques such as injection moulding and mould tooling. Required: - Good knowledge of Injection Mould tools - Good knowledge of injection Mould process - Good knowledge and use of APQP Brief Duties & Responsibilities: - Project Coordination - Daily customer contact - Conduct review meetings - Monitor & Control Project MoPs - Customer / Supplier liaison - Project Planning - APQP adherence - Creation of control plans - ISIRs - Validation testing - Assist with control of PPAP - Commercial awareness - Visit and control tool trials in China/Taiwan when as Projects demand. - Daily activities, you will be the main customer contact and be responsible for ensuring the programme is delivered on time & to budget. - You will act as the interface between our tooling division and moulding division meeting all internal and external customer requirements. - A team player, you will be self-motivated and expected to work hard while also appreciating the importance of enjoying your challenge. - You will lead & facilitate all project activities from cradle to grave, including new product development, process development, layouts, design buy-off, specification, quotations, and final commissioning among others. - You will lead customer & supplier liaison and negotiation on task issues and continue to develop strong customer relationships. - Ensure adherence to robust program management process throughout all stages of the program, to ensure customer gateways are met. - Liaison with manufacturing departments to ensure satisfactory project handover on completion. - Strong / Fair leader and capable of implementing change within a growing business - Manage complex programmes within a 1st tier automotive manufacturer If this advertised position does not interest you, please consider our other opportunities by sending your updated CV outlining your achievements and your personal requisites, i.e. salary, location, job roles.
