Systems Engineer | Operations Engineer (Cloud, SaaS) Salary: Up to £70K Basic + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Package Location: North West London / South Hertfordshire border (Watford, Stanmore, Elstree, Borehamwood, Shenley, Radlett, Brent, Barnet, St Albans, Bushey, Hatfield; all good commutes) Systems Engineer required by global, UK Head Quartered Software Company to support their SaaS / Cloud infrastructure environment. Who are you? You will be familiar with supporting a Cloud platform and infrastructure environment. Working with cutting edge technologies and a history of using your initiative to identify improvements and work with teams to see these through. You will be a self-starter and highly motivated, with a passion for excellence in your work. This is an exciting role for a great analytical thinker. Someone who can think outside of the box and strategically. Working with many technologies, you will never find yourself without something to keep you busy! Who are we? We are a UK software vendor with over 14 years of trading experience. 200 staff globally (mostly in the UK) we continually invest in our technology, people & working environments. The SaaS operations team is a dynamic team that supports an exciting mix of technologies. Working under various compliance certifications, we provide a Secure, Reliable and operationally excellent service. The responsibilities of the role include: - Perform the day-to-day functions of the SaaS Operations team, providing support for the cloud & infrastructure platforms; both corporate & development. - Have a keen eye on new technologies, recommending new hardware and/or software which can add benefit and value to the organization - Maintain excellent relationships with business users and stakeholders, as well as other IT team members - Follow defined procedures and standards within the team, and assist the development of new ones - Participate in weekend work and on-call support as required (We operate within business hours, so this is limited, but some is required) What we`re looking for: (Broad range of skills. Some or most of the below would be great!) - Windows Server support; some UNIX knowledge would be handy OR vice-versa! - Any Server automation experience great; CHEF, puppet, ansible or similar (Bash, powershell scripting for example) - VMware and Xen virtual management - Server Hardware support - Networking Experience with Wireless, VoIP and VPN - ITIL methodology experience (Certification is advantageous) - Drive, passion and a commitment to service excellence - Determination and ability to learn new technologies So, if you like the look of the above & think you could do a good job in a dedicated, passionate team of techies, then please get in touch with your CV.
