An excellent opportunity for a progressive and expanding Lloyd's Underwriters based in the City who seeks a person with Insurance Claims experience (1-2 years), A level /graduate educated to train into a Claims Adjuster role. Candidates will have a good level of drive, communication skills, be keen to develop a career with Claims Adjusting. Your degree with be 2.1 Law/Numerical/Business related, along with a solid exams results previously. Adjustment of claims across all classes of business including the syndicate's non marine classes (property and casualty) written by way of binding authorities. Assisting the Senior Adjuster responsible for a class of business to manage the claims and to organise resources and workload. Negotiation and liaison with clients, brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers, including overseas travel where necessary. Attendance at market meetings. Work on accurate and timely case reserving as an important feed into the reserving process Provide underwriters with feedback on claims issues, cause codes, wordings and related risk information to improve the overall quality of underwriting Liaising with external claims administrators, including the carrying out of claims and procedural audits. Review and consider with underwriters the interpretation of policy wordings Assist underwriters with product and business development in line with the divisional business plan ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Participating and undertaking applicable professional, technical and career development training (delivered internally and externally) to include attainment of associated qualifications where required. Where applicable ensure company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time
