Assistant Director Core Infrastructure and End User Infrastructure / Transformation / Leadership / Digital / Strategy / Technology La Fosse Associates are operating in the capacity of exclusive recruitment partner for Camden, Haringey and Islington councils as they embark on an exciting Shared Digital journey. Introduction Camden, Haringey and Islington councils have created a shared digital and ICT service. Their decision to share a digital and ICT service will enhance their services to residents and save costs. More importantly, the shared service will deliver an ambitious programme of change and transformation, saving over £6 million a year across the three boroughs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly created senior leadership team where you will shape the future of IT across the 3 boroughs and their 700,000+ constituents. Role Purpose The Assistant Director Core Infrastructure and End User will have responsibility for leadership and management of the following: - Infrastructure (on premise and cloud as well and problem and change management) - Service delivery (service desk, desktop support, user training, software and hardware management) - Commissioning and supplier management - Information security You will be required to plan, implement, control, review and audit Shared Digital service provision to meet customer and businesses requirements and continue to seek improvement across service delivery and sustainability targets. You will take responsibility for the overall management and control of formal contracts for the supply of products and services managed/delivered by the Shared Digital service. Working closely with other members of the newly formed leadership team, you will identify and investigate opportunities for achieving the best value for money across products and services while taking responsibility for the negotiation of major contracts. Along with the Chief Digital and Information Officer, you will define, implement and communicate the digital and ICT strategy across the three boroughs and ensure the varied needs of each and their constituents are met. Role Requirements - Extensive experience working within a senior capacity with responsibility across infrastructure, service, information security/ governance, operations and end-user technologies. - Ability to manage, and take responsibility for, major technical and service delivery issues. - Experience running large technology-enabled programmes, delivered in complex and collaborative multi-vendor environments. - Ability to work with senior stakeholders both from technical and non-technical backgrounds. - Thorough understanding of the latest ICT trends and environments. - Sound commercial, organisational, time management, negotiation and staff management skills.
