Medical Secretary (Private GP) The London General Practice (LGP) was founded by Dr Paul Ettlinger, one of London's most respected and well established private doctors. The Practice is based at 114a Harley Street area of London, providing UK-based and international patients with a comprehensive range of excellent private healthcare. We provide UK-based and international patients with excellent personal care in state-of-the-art facilities. We pride ourselves on the flexible, personal care we provide our patients, which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Practice consults for many private families, leading insurers, the entertainment industry, numerous multinational companies and prestigious London hotels Position: Medical Secretary (Private GP) Location: Harley Street, London Job Type: Full time, Permanent Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum About the role: - Typing of letters and reports for GPs - Assisting colleagues with typing of letters and reports - Maintaining presentations, spreadsheets, databases - Managing the computerised recall systems of the practice - Liaising with office staff and PA's in correspondence management - Meeting and greeting patients and visitors to the practice in a friendly and courteous manner - Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner - Make referral appointments for patients, doctors and nurses - Manage diary lists as appropriate - Register new patients - Filing of medical notes, letters, tests results and other correspondence - Invoicing and taking payments from patients Assisting the bookings team by answering the telephones, making bookings and scanning patient records - Providing cover for annual leave - Attending regular practice meetings - Any other reasonable duties requested by the office manager or doctors About you: - Experience in a medical environment - Private healthcare experience - Strong medical terminology - Effective diary management - Customer service skills both over the telephone and in person - Discretion and confidentiality AMSPAR qualification is desirable - 70 WPM typing is desirable - GP experience is desirable You may have experience of the following: Medical Secretary, Administrator, Senior Secretary, Personal Assistant, Office Administrator, Office Administrator, Healthcare, AMSPAR, Receptionist, Diary Management, etc. This vacancy is being advertised by EasyWeb Recruitment, the UK's leading Online Recruitment Agency.
