Python Software Engineer - Python, Flask, PyCharm, NoSQL, AWS, Agile, Kanban, LEAN. A fantastic opportunity to work with one of the FT's Future of FinTech award nominees, at a really exciting stage of their development. You will be an experienced Software Engineer with strong commercial experience in Python development, using Flask and ideally will have a proven track record in building "secure" web applications, working within a Python development environment (such as PyCharm) and have good working knowledge of architectural patterns. You will need to have a quality led development focus (ie good version control, unit testing and CI) and if you've worked with Jenkins before that will help - they have a very strong CD pipeline already in place! You will be joining an existing team of 6 Engineers with a wealth of experience between them across Python, NoSQL (MongoDB), Javascript frameworks (React & Angular), DevOps, AWS, Jenkins, RabbitMQ and all who know how to write user stories and acceptance criteria. Any additional experience in any of these areas will really help as they do look for "full stack" Engineers in some capacity. You will also be joining one of the best run Kanban environments in London so it's a great opportunity to learn more about Agile in general and adopt LEAN principles, TDD and BDD. You will have a voice in the team and are very much encouraged to use it - the CTO wants strong Python developers who will push boundaries, challenge thinking and look at new innovative tech solutions. It's a people centric culture and an inspiring place to work; you'll be given the platform to flourish technically and make a real difference to this burgeoning FinTech! You will be compensated with a good salary and a really good equity offering with short vesting periods and addition retention offerings possible too. If you are interested in hearing a bit more about this, do get it touch. We can arrange an informal coffee with the CTO to learn a little more about the business, career prospects and tech stack before making a decision to move forward more formally.
