Company Accountant Wilmslow Salary - up to £25, 000 per annum depending on experience Our client is a growing, entrepreneurial business seeking a Company Accountant to join them during an exciting period of growth. This is a hands-on role in a business which plans to grow rapidly over the next 12 months and you will have a varied and pivotal role within the business preparing accounts for multiple companies within the group along with customer accounts. The role will suit a career focused individual who is keen to learn. The Company Accountant is responsible for maintaining company accounts, communicating with clients, maintaining monthly accounts for each client on a Cloud based accounting system, the preparation of Quarterly VAT returns and filing of accounts and tax returns in respect of all limited company clients. The job holder will also be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, including accounting for an Umbrella company payroll so experience in this area would be an advantage but isn`t essential. This requires excellent communication, planning and organisational skills and the job holder must be constantly monitoring and re-evaluating priorities. Company Accountant responsibilities: - Secure company information from clients each quarter to prepare quarterly management accounts - Preparation of statutory year end accounts without error within three months of company year ends - Issuing company accounts for director`s signature and on-time filing at Companies House. - Timely preparation, delivery and on-time submission of Quarterly VAT returns - Prepare PAYE/NI returns, issuing to directors and ensure on-time submission - Corporation tax computation, timely payment and CT600 filings Skills and key attributes required: - AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified and ideally be familiar with an accounting practice environment - You will have knowledge of SAGE ideally - Experience within a fast-moving environment is essential - Strong customer service skills - Detail oriented with a pragmatic approach to problem solving - Confident, highly self-motivated and comfortable with challenging others and being challenged - You will be gregarious, engaging and keen to learn - Thrive (and enjoy working) under pressure - You will be ambitious and keen to embrace new challenges
