Introduction: An incredibly exciting opportunity has arisen for a desktop support engineer to join one the UK's leading firms. Specification: As a desktop support engineer you will provide outstanding technical support to both internal and external customers/managed service accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop more experience within IBM and Microsoft technologies. This position is based in Bracknell, however regular travel to customer sites in Oxford . Responsibilities: - Process customer tickets, escalating to the relevant teams, resolving issues around desktop and printing issues; maintain working relationships with appropriate suppliers; liaising with Finance for PO and gaining the appropriate approval. - Develop skills around Microsoft windows client-server technologies, having exposure to Networking and Scripting/Automation - Monitor customer ticket queues and be responsible for maintaining the calls and ensure timely closure times in adherence to SLA's. - Support Customers in an Office 365 environment - Customer site cover when required for managed service customers - Participate in core hour cover between 0830 and 1800 Mon-Fri Skills & Competencies needed - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Ability to work well under pressure - Firm understanding of IT systems and an interest for emerging technologies - 1 year plus experience of customer facing or support role in an IT environment - Flexible to travel ideally with own transport - Windows Operating Systems - Active Directory If you are interested in this position please apply directly or send your up to date CV to Michael Coe at michael (dot) coe (at) networkerstechnology (dot) com!
